FBLA and Me

FBLA and Me

Today wasn't a totally crazy day. A lot of my day revolved around FBLA. I am the President of Nekoosa High Schools FBLA chapter. This is my first year as a local officer member, and so far I really enjoy it. FBLA has impacted my life like crazy, it has brought me to a place of confidence and independence, which I NEVER thought I would have. I like being the President because I like being a person my members can come to for help. I may not know the extreme ins-and-outs of FBLA, but I know the basics. One thing I would like to mention is the CSA's and the BAA's (Community Service Awards and Business Achievement Awards). For further explanation the CSA's are about community service. The awards a broken up into three parts: Community (50 hours), Service (200 hours), and Achievement (500 hours). Then there are the BAA's, which is broken up into four parts: Future, Business, Leader, and America. These are split up into doing different tasks. I had never worked towards these until this year, and maybe its the fact that I have nothing better to do (or the fact that I enjoy doing it), but I am already on the America Level of the BAA's. I am also passed the Community level in the CSA's with 63 community service hours. Like I said, I had started these at the beginning of the school year, and I am that far. Also something that is really cool is that if I finish the America level then I can go to nationals, but I think I'll save that for next year (my senior year). Anyways, back to today, for a while not my adviser and I had wanted to write a report style paper about my chapters community service project. Our project was cleaning up a community garden in Nekoosa, this was when it was still nice out. So today I had started to write it and its coming along really good, it's just that I have never written a report, so I don't know if it is the proper writing style.

(p.s. I wrote this for a BAA task haha)
